| Pinakates is situated between the villages of Vizitsa
and Agios Georgios, at an altitude of 560 meters. It is a very tranquil
village, filled with traditional buildings, cobblestone paths, and
thriving natural beauty. The main square of Pinakates, is very special, and here you will see the famous church of Agios Dimitrios, the famous natural water fountain, and the very popular "Pileas Taverna". It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to Pinakates, our home village in Pelion, and look forward to offering you our warmest hospitality at our taverna, where we hope you will join us for a tasty home cooked meal. |

| In the main square is the large plane tree that is over 500 years old, and during the summer months, you can take a seat here outside in the square and enjoy your meal in a very peaceful and delightful setting. During the winter months, you can take a seat inside next to our fireplace, and warm yourselves up from the cold winter weather outside. | |

| The Pileas Taverna offers a wonderful selection of local cuisine,
and is run by Apostolis and Kostas, two brothers, who have created
this unique and welcoming taverna. At the taverna, you will be warmly
welcomed, and will find the atmosphere here both friendly and comfortable.
The taverna have their own live stock, and also make their own wine and tsiporou, which will perfectly compliment your meals here. All dishes are freshly prepared using quality ingredients, and are cooked and prepared with great care and attention to detail. During the winter months, you can sample a selection of very special dishes, such as local game, and at the end of your meal, you can expect a great surprise to finish off your experience. The Pileas Taverna can also organise and arrange for gatherings such as wedding receptions and baptisms in the main square of Pinakates, and can provide the staff and cuisine for any such events. With prior arrangement, Kostas and Apostolis can organise a trip around the village on their own horses. |

an environment in the taverna that will instantly attract your attention.
If you look up at the various lights on the ceilings and walls,
you will see just how unique they are. The taverna, which is open throughout the year, offers a truly traditional and perfect setting, which all visitors to Pinakates should try to experience. The Pileas Taverna has built up a great reputation as being a place where you can enjoy very tasty meals, warm and friendly hospitality and a setting like any other taverna.
